KXII Report on Senior Nutrition Cuts and Efforts to Reverse them

KXII, Channel 12 covered a State Capitol rally by senior citizens concerned over cuts in Oklahoma's senior nutrition program. Senator Jay Paul Gumm, D-Durant, who was among the first to call for restoration of that budget cut, was interviewed by KXII Reporter Shelby Levins on the cuts and efforts to reverse them. KXII Anchor Maureen Kane introduces the story, which also includes an interview by Rep. Pat Ownbey, R-Ardmore. The story aired on the Wednesday, November 11, 2009 edition of First News at 10 p.m.

KXII First News Report on Senator Gumm's Campaign Kick-off

Senator Jay Paul Gumm officially announced his re-election campaign on Monday, Sept. 14, 2009 with a gala event at Durant's Sports City Cafe. A standing room only crowd of supporters, with more than 350 individuals signing in, joined the senator and his wife for the event. KXII-TV Channel 12 out of Sherman, Texas, covered the event, which included speeches by Lt. Gov. Jari Askins, Choctaw Chief Greg Pyle, several lawmakers, as well as a fireworks display. This package aired on the Monday, Sept. 14 edition of First News at 10 and is reported by KXII Anchor Maureen Kane.

Video Scrapbook for Campaign Kickoff

This is a video produced for Senator Jay Paul Gumm's 2010 campaign kickoff, held Monday, Sept. 14, 2009 at Sports City Cafe in Durant. The video - a scrapbook of the senator's service - ran on the television screens throughout the venue during the event/fundraiser at which more than 350 people were in attendance. There is no audio for the video except a music cue.
