On Monday, June 28, 2010, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled the Second Amendment right to "keep and bear arms" limits the ability of states, counties and cities to restrict the right. Senator Jay Paul Gumm, D-Durant, was among state lawmakers who signed an amicus, or "friend of the Court" brief, in the case that followed much of the Court's reasoning in the case. KXII-TV Reporter Maddie Garrett interviewed the senator on the court's ruling and what it means.
