LOKI Weapons Systems, Inc., held a ribbon cutting June 1, 2010 for its new production facility in Coalgate, Oklahoma. The process to attract this gun maker began when Senator Jay Paul Gumm and Rep. Paul Roan, who both represent Coal County, passed the Oklahoma Gun Manufacturer Recruitment Initiative six years ago. UPDATE - GOVERNOR BRAD HENRY SIGNED SB 1713 INTO LAW ON THURSDAY, APRIL 29, 2010; THE MEASURE TAKES EFFECT NOV. 1, 2010. Senate Bill 1713 received final approval from the Oklahoma Legislature Monday, April 26, 2010, and now only needs Governor Brad Henry's signature to make 4 stretches of Texoma highways memorial highways in honor of three fallen soldiers and also three dedicated public servants. From KFOR in Oklahoma City - Measure Would Provide Fairness for Children with Autism

A measure is on the governor's desk that includes an amendment by Senator Jay Paul Gumm to ensure health insurance policies cover the same illnesses and injuries for children with autism as it does for children without the diagnosis.
